Well - we were over-planting and replanting. Yesterday we planted Red Buds, Swamp Milkweed, Slender Mountain Mint and Showy Goldenrod. The area also has Queen Ann's Lace, Illinois Bundleflower and a couple other natives. Once the Redbuds get bigger, the area will be quite spectacular. Oh well, Sighing! "A society is great when old people plant trees whose shade they will never enjoy".

Rolling on the floor laughing Neal - Naturalist - not Naturist. (Not sure that is a word). But yes - that would have been a hoot! And would have created quite a traffic problem. We were right at the intersection of US 36 & major state Rte 33. US 36 is one of the largest and longest non-"Interstate" highways in the US and carries a lot of traffic.
