No, I hadn't thought to do any winter sowing since the drought was declared. I decided that this was not a good time to add young plants to the garden.

I had planned to divide my huecheras, so in spring, I'll do that, if there is anything alive and move them to the other part of the garden. Since the drought, the dogwood tree is not providing enough afternoon shade for them in their current location and they have suffered from leaf scorch. The tree will provide less shade next season as the doe also pruned the dogwood. She feasted quite well while it was raining and I couldn't get a handyman up here to repair the deer fence.

Of course, the weeds have survived as she had better things to eat .... Hilarious!
I'd rather weed than dust ... the weeds stay gone longer.
