Yes, in Oxfordshire, in a rural area. We do have lots of birds and I really enjoy watching them. We have bird feeding tables and quite a few nesting boxes, although the birds seem to build nests in all sorts of unlikely places. Robins are pretty tame here and will sit close by you if you are gardening in the hope that you will uncover some earthworms for them. We also have a large number of wrens, which are really cute, and in the summer a kingfisher is a regular and very pretty visitor. Lots of other regulars and countryside birds like owls and pheasants (beautiful but with absolutely no road sense
).
But I do envy the range of birds you have - bluebirds, hummingbirds, flickers (I'd never heard of a flicker before your post!) Wonderfully colourful and varied. It's interesting that there seems to be a much greater difference in the birdlife than in the plant life between the UK and the US. It's really fun to read the posts and learn about so many new sorts of bird.
