Casados Native
"Landrace Chile"
An early-maturing Spanish heirloom from El Guique, NM (5,500'). When green, slightly sweet and fleshier than other New Mexican native chiles. Also has a good flavor when red.
The Casados Native chile is called landrace because the peppers are grown and collected by individual families, and these specific “races” are tied to the land area they where they have been grown for decades or hundreds of years.
