sorry.. trying to catch up after going away yesterday.. yes it is very heavy.. and was not easy to hang.. my honey took a heavy steel coat hanger to make an easier hanger... the hook was too small on my post and we were worried it would rip.. so more or less he doubled the coat hanger shaped like two triangles to spread out the weight
