We've seen this plant get very large in ideal conditions. In short seasons expect 5 feet or so. But where it can overwinter and start early the following season, they get large. Salvia mexicana is a spectacular species all-in-all, if you can grow it. This variety is one of the earliest to bloom, BTW.
