Hello!

I just got in the mail a Dragon fruit plant for my bro for Christmas. I have attached a picture:

I have some questions about caring for it.

First, I saw on the internet that a piece of the plant breaking off is good for the plant because it stimulates growth. Is this true? I am asking because a piece broke off during shipping. As you can see, I am trying to graft it.

Second, how much sunlight, water, soil, and fertilizer?

Third, do I need a thing for it to grow on?

Finally, is there anything important I need to know about caring for this plant?

My brother loves this plant and I want it to survive

Any help will be appreciated,

Jared
