I sometimes buy pretoria and tropicanna but they will last for many years if dug up and brought in. I also found that if they are in a small container I can just bring in the whole pot, let it go dormant, and put back outside the following year when temps are consistantly 60 degrees at night. If you put them in the ground here the ground temps should be around 60 degrees. My local University Extension office measures ground temps daily. I think local weather service does it as well.
