@blakelyatstillwood Thank you for your message to those of us who have been here from the beginning of ATP. If you've read enough of the back story you'll know that we have been here for only 4.5 years, (July 2011). Just like you, the majority of us came from DG and just like you, we weren't sure what we would find here. And what we found was a blank slate. But Dave and Trish invited us in and assured us that together we would build a great new gardening site and that's what happened.

We worked together from that first day forward and with Dave asking us almost daily what would work best for us, and without question, he took our suggestions and we moved pretty quickly to create what we have now. Some of what you see is brand new. And those tweaks toward perfection keep happening. So actually to us oldsters, ATP still growing and even now it's still young to us. Sometimes new things happen on one side of the site and it takes even us a long time to discover they're there. Every day brings us new surprises. So we do understand how you feel. We felt the same way 4 years ago.

We feel that each of us has had a part in the rapid growth of ATP, we feel some ownership. We didn't always particularly love every new thing that was added, but others did and that's what working together means, we give and we take, it all evens out in the end. Change, when it works like we worked together here, is always a good thing and we've seen many changes along with the rapid growth of this site in a relatively short time. We are proud of what we continue to build together. We didn't replicate, we built from scratch, and we did it together starting with that blank canvas.

We're glad you are here with us and we hope that just as we did, you'll begin to contribute your ideas too. In the meantime I hope you'll be patient with us as well and maybe you can take some time to check out all the forums that interest you. Most of your questions will no doubt be answered in those forums as well as in 'Ideas and Articles'. And we'll take time to help you as much as we can.

Wishing you well in this Happy New Year week of rough weather.
