Good morning, everyone! Why is it that coffee in your own home tastes soooo much better than when you're somewhere else?? No matter if I use the same brand, filtered water and such, it feels like I can make my own coffee commercial when I can sip my own from my own mug!! lol
I thought I'd be on my way to IN this morning, but dear Stepdad is hanging on. The Drs told Mom it could be today or tomorrow, so she wants me to wait until he passes before I go.. His son is with her, and my little brother is helping her out at the moment. I guess it will be my turn afterwards when it's all over to stay with her for a bit, "for moral support", as she keeps putting it. She's doing remarkably well, they've discussed this for quite awhile, Will is taken care of, etc and when my Dad passed years ago, it prepared her for this one. She wants to spend her time with him now, just the two of them, so I'm going along with it. But have everything packed so I can be ready to go when she calls. She's happy they got to spend Christmas together with the families, and that they took a trip to Gatlinburg for their present to each other in early December, so she uses that for comfort too.
I've been popping in on DG since I've been back, and while I have no issues logging in, it just feels 'different' ? Our quilt threads were crazy with pics and projects, chatter of new ideas, etc. Maybe it's just the lull of the holidays, everyone taking a breather of sorts... I can't really start anything major until all here is over and settled down, but I still have a baby quilt to finish and the sewing mess to clean up. Will do that today, as I'm just waiting on Mom.
