Jan, not new but I don' t spend much time in the flower specific forums., I do peruse the Recent Threads and occasionally jump in if something catches my interest. I have a couple of irises and love their wonderful fragrance and regal stature. Back to topic, I recently started trimming mine back about mid summer and have found it helps keep things neater and shows me which ones are overcrowded. Mine tend to get over run with creeping buttercup and corydalis. I welcome the corydalis, which addsan airy look and does not seem to compete with the iris, but the buttercups are my weed-bane.
I want to live in a world where the chicken can cross the road without its motives being questioned.
