Carol. I only repot if absolutely necessary, if the plant gets too unwieldy. I don't mind hanging roots. (re hanging roots, see my post in the July thread just now... Smiling )
But, I bought myself a special wire cutter at HD, it cuts the wire basket apart without a problem. And then the Orchid can be examined and split as needed.
