Come to think of it, the dirt they push around while making their tunnels does have to go somewhere! And I have found some mounds, but not where the plants disappeared. I probed where the plants were eaten, found a hole and made my assumption based on that. Gotta rethink now about where I set my trap. I'm learning stuff all the time.
