Hi All and Happy New Year! Happy Gardening in 2016!!!!

I, too, plan on wintersowing a bunch of flower seeds in milk jugs. I tried last year but only had a little luck due to my own fault. My question is what kind of soil should I use? I have a dirt mixture that I mixed up over the summer and wonder if it will work. It is made up of regular dirt, bagged garden soil, bagged top soil, cow manure, and rabbit manure. Do you think this would work in the milk jugs or should I just use potting soil or seed starter? I think I remember using seed starter before and the water wouldn't soak in very good. Also I have some Vermiculite. Should I add some of this to the soil? I also have a bag of potting soil and a bag of peat moss. Should I also add some of these?

Any suggestions on soil would be appreciated.
Yard decor, repurposing, and flowers,
