That's what I said! But it's clearly a darker blue than the Blue Jays we have around here so I know it's something different.

In more news, we have a male Cardinal that takes turns attacking our side mirrors. I tried to get a picture of him but he flew into the bushes.

I'm friends with Appalachian Magazine on Facebook and they had a story today about how they're creating an elk preserve in WV in the county where my dad is from, along with two adjoining counties. It also said the refuge would help wild turkeys, grassland birds, and something called a Golden Winged Warbler. I Googled it and that is one pretty bird! Next time I'm visiting Grandma I'm going to have to hunt for it. I don't think they come to feeders because she's always feeding the Goldfinches and I think I would have noticed a yellow bird that looked "different". I'll have to research what it likes and where it hangs out.
