@Hemlady Cindy, the Orchard Oriole diet is varied in the winter months. They will even eat insects and seeds. I put dehydrated mealworms and berries in my feeders so perhaps that is what they were after if not the seed.
@DavidLMO David, oh my goodness that is so cute! Our parakeet only said Hello and did the wolf whistle but years ago my husband went to a pet store and one of the parakeets there would whistle the tune to the Andy Griffith Show! And another bird that was a friend of the pet store owner would yell "Help, Lemme outta here, Help, lemmee outta here!"
@IbisFl Ibis, that does indeed appear to be a juvenile Little Blue Heron. At first I thought it might be a Great Egret but they have Black legs and feet and a yellow bill. The Snowy Egret is smaller and has Black legs, bright yellow feet and a dark bill. Yours sure fits the desctiption of a juvenile Little Blue Heron!
@JulieB Julie, that is an amazing shot of those beautiful Flamingoes!! I've only seen one in the wild here (at the beach a couple of years ago.) It's thought that most seen in Florida are escapees from zoos.
