Some lovely irises in the orders, but those flatties, wow, I had never seen such a thing! Blinking Are they really bearded irises? Confused

Must...Resist... (insert hypnotized eyes icon here)

So far I have only completed two orders:

Mariposa Iris: 'Lemon Lunar Lander', 'I I Stutter'

Hummingbird Gardens: 'Mariposa Skies', 'Polish Princess', 'Purple People Eater', 'Star Performer'

I am working on orders for two more places:

Iris Sisters: 'Emma's Laughter', 'Rosalie Figge', 'Wintry Sky', and ? (too many lovely things... am thinking of 'Wedding Kiss' among others)

International Iris: 'Sub-Zero' (variegated foliage is the draw here), 'Pewter & Gold', and depending on availability 'My Beloved', 'Fratello Sole', and 'Enjoyment'

I also intend to put in orders with Nola's ('Sara's Beauty' at a minimum, and maybe 'Trillion', when they open), Winterberry ('Mariposa Autumn', 'Magnificent Masterpiece', and 'Star Challenger' at a minimum), and Bluebird Iris ('Lord Jeff', 'Lovely Lois' - if they ever respond to me).

Hmmm.... that's a lot of purple and white...

I would like to order from Sutton's and Mid-America also, but just with the above garden orders I am going to exceed my intended limit of 20 irises. (I may need an intervention here... Whistling )

I am not building new beds so I have to fit things in here and there. I may renovate a couple of existing beds, but given the gopher depredations, we will have to underlay them with wire if I want to be sure not to lose any. Digging up the heavy dirt during the heat of summer will not be a fun project... maybe that is something we can do this spring, if and when it is drier.
Evaluating an iris seedling, hopefully for rebloom
