Hi Mary ! No Worries .....I am new here too so feeling my way around as well.....After 12 years on Garden Web trying something so different is a little intimidating but the people here seem very very nice and helpful and I am enjoying my time on ATP "meeting" new people .

I have been growing daylilies for about 10 years now . How long have you enjoyed these great plants? I only wish I had found them sooner . Digging would have been so much easier for a younger me LOL! . Even 10 years ago it was much much easier but I have been mesmerized by them I think . I practically eat , drink , sleep daylilies . But whatcha gonna do when you are addicted . I could be addicted to many other worse things .

Do you have a preference for the types of daylilies you like ? I am only now starting to add bagel varieties to my gardens . Previously I fell in love with the UF's and spiders. So my garden changes every year depending on what I add to them . I grow lots of other perennials too but because we get such nasty droughty weather down here near London Ontario daylilies became THE plant in my gardens . I couldn't water during the droughts ( well I did and ran the well dry on a number of occasions = my bad ) and daylilies survive so well during that time that daylilies are now my main focus and I now grow about 1000 named daylilies and about another 1000 seedlings at the moment .

I would love to see pics of your gardens if you ever have the time to show them . I pretty much work in isolation as there doesnt seem to be many daylily afficienados down this way .

Thanks for writing back
