Hi, just found you guys here after the hoopla at DG...sad, sad, but I think I'll have some friends here as well as at Hallsons.

I'm Laura and I live in Southern Virginia, in the area known as Hampton Roads. It's a bit south of Williamsburg..the big historical area along with Jamestown and Yorktown...also Colonial history areas. I'm a zone 7b/8a borderline person, and Hostas are my primary collection....along with a few Japanese Maples.

I'm very happy to be out in the garden this year as last year, I suffered badly from allergies and migraines. This year...I'm restarting allergy shots, and remembering to take my meds as well as seeing a massage therapist to help avoid the headaches. Sooo...I lost quite a few hostas, but not as many as I thought I would. Almost all of my hostas are in pots. All of my flower beds need a huge amount of weeding and attention, so I'm taking things a little at a time and trying to get some help with the weeding so that I can do the part I enjoy...the planting, trimming, and maybe hybridizing or at least planting my hosta seeds if I let the bees do the work.

Nice to see some familiar names...and faces. Once I figure out how things work here, I'll post some pictures of my own.

Laura
