I have a love/hate relationship with muscari that have autumn foliage. On one hand I like seeing exactly where they are in fall when I'm planting other bulbs, but on the other hand the leaves often look ratty by the time spring rolls around and they bloom. I started growing some M. aucheri a couple of years ago (Ocean Magic and Sky Blue) and hope they increase and naturalize as easily as M. armeniacum cultivars. M. aucheri doesn't have the autumn foliage and has a neater appearance in the garden. Having said that, I wouldn't be without Valerie Finnis- I love that color so much it's worth having the fall foliage Lovey dubby

I see buds on Dutch Master (often sold as "improved King Alfred") that are about 4" tall. Hope they make it!
