As most of you know, I moved house last March which meant I had to dig up and move my Woodlands Corner. I had been on 'tenterhooks' so to speak ever since I moved and today was relieved and thrilled to see some transplanted old friends popping up letting me know they were happy campers and naturalized. Two are missing, Indian Pink, Spigelia marilandica and Spotted Trillium, Trillium maculatum ... but it is a bit early so I'm not in a panic yet. The Mouse plant in particular had me biting my nails since last March.

Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so.
