Wes said:Nice that the kids met the sandbox, it's a fading fad with Ipod, Wii, and various "smart phones" and gaming systems. At the rate technology is going I might have to construct a big ol' sandbox for my 50 year old self. Just to remain in touch with what was once common.

tell me about it. We are trying hard to get our grandson off his Ipad and what have you to do anything. He doesn't even watch regular tv - only Netflicks! He can carry on very involved conversations about gaming but little else! If he could only apply himself to school work the same. It sure has helped with his reading however! Mom and dad do have him in swim lessons once a week all year round at the Y as well as weekly skating in the winter. He also goes to outdoor day camp in the summer at the Y and has taken gym classes, science classes, and Karate. Hopefully he will develop a love of something. He's not even interested in his bike - we were on them every minute of daylight in our day.
