I was one of the first 300 contributors to the plant database!
I loved my little granite owl that I bought last year at a local garden center. Someone stole it while I was away at a confernece last week Crying

It was even in a fenced in area! Grumbling

I took all my garden art and moved it to a secure area. I guess I'm kind of lucky that they only took the owl, not the bronze sundial that was a few feet from it. Hubby and I think a drunk person walking home from the bars took it. Amazingly they managed not to crush any of the new new plants though they did step on one of the conifers. One of our neighbors has a very overgrown yard and I told him about the stolen owl. Someone may have thrown it in the bushes somewhere and we may find it when the foliage dies back in winter. The owl weighed about 35 pounds, I cannot imagine anyone carried it very far.
