I have a brick wall that I would like to hang a trellis from (via screwing in eye-hooks) for the purpose of growing melons. My initial thought was to use wire fencing/lattice but I thought that the tendency for it to rust might end up damaging the plant (?). The wooden trellises I've used in the past are not only quite a bit more expensive, but also rot rather quickly.

Any thoughts from those who've been successful with melons before is appreciated.

Thanks.
