Oh no. i did not know that. I was born in 1952 and so my plans not derailed....but to tske that benefit away without allowing enough of a buffer of time is unfair....it is waaaay too late to reverse course and make different plans.... I can see that being done ( closing the loophole ) but not for any person over 50 or so...that is just not enough time to save/plan / prepare differently.
Wow ..in not a good way.
Marilynne, I had a nurse friend who worked the cardiac critical care.a car hit an electrical pole...that made the hospital's electric go out. She had two patients on ventilators and the generator did not kick on as quickly as she thought it should..... She was in an outer hall on way back to the unit. Of course that hall was pitch dark. She crashed into an xray machine trying to get back to the unit and her patients who would need to be bagged manually.....
She broke her nose....
She had to have something done to it..
The hospital system did not want to compensate her injuries.....
They said....she should have stood still until the lights came on...
