Cinda, I started writing blogs here when my teenage grandnieces and their babies moved in with me. It was tough sledding and I used the blogs to express my frustration and annoyance and such, and to connect what was happening IN the house to how I got, well, therapy, for lack of a better descriptor, by working OUT in the yard. I felt a whole lot better for writing them (kept me from slapping some girls upside the head!), I enjoyed the thumbs and comments from folks who read them, and I think I even helped a person or two feel better about their own situation, at least temporarily. The chitlins are all gone, now, and I haven't written one since April of last year. However, I started a garden thread about that time which serves much the same function for discharging stress, but also engages others in daily conversation. Worked so well, I made one for this year, too.
Short version: 1) Blogs here can be anything the writer wants and span a wide spectrum. 2) I look forward to thumbs--means you like what I wrote.
