I just finished my first homemade raised beds last weekend, built two for this spring and plan to add two more in the fall. They are 4'X8' cedar, currently 1 ft deep but I left it so that I could add depth later if I decide I need it. Going to fill them in with some good dirt this weekend and then need to come up with a cheap but effective irrigation plan.

I also have some seeds planted under lights:
Little Gem lettuce
Martino's Roma tomato
Moneymaker tomato
Tendergreen cucumber

Also some flower seeds, some are from my mom's garden last year, and some I picked up along the road when I walk my dogs. I figure if the seed pods hit the street, they are fair game..lol. My mom planted seeds too, so I will get some peppers and such from her most likely.

This will be my first year gardening here, I bought my first house this past summer so lot's to keep me busy this year!

:) Kim
