I've shoveled a few times (including paths in the backyard so I can refill bird feeders and bird baths). I'm glad I did that because I realized I hadn't covered the electrical outlets for the pond or the electrical cords for the bird baths.
If I run out of things I want to do, I can always paint a room or fill storage bins that have been sitting in the basement for a year. Two are now outside to cover bird seed trays, so I've made the job a little easier
