Not for everyone but those in the southern tier states with humid weather can grow these colorful, easy care plants. Others can make great use of them as extremely forgiving house plants.

They come in all shapes, colors and sizes from tiny tillandsias to huge Broms that can grow in a clump to the size of a small car. They are epiphytes that will attach to the branches of trees, but also grow nicely on the ground under trees, in pretty well all levels of light.

Many have spectacular flowers as well as beautiful colors, stripes and patterns on their leaves.
