I commented on your HF Greenhouse Thread. I, too specifically build the greenhouse to house my, at the time 10 plumeria trees as they were getting too tall to fit in the garage. Of course, having the greenhouse, I have increased my plumie population. I knew that was going to happen. hahaha How could it not? I found with protection from frost and a small heater in the GH there are 1-2 that don't go completely dormant. While they aren't in a growing phase, they don't drop all their leaves. Hetty says some varieties do that. I keep my plumies in one area so I can mist them occasionally during their dormant period while other plants in other areas get fully watered. In fact, that is how my gh is arranged, according to sun needs and water.

So after you get your greenhouse built and situated in the right location for max winter sunshine, start researching heating systems. I use a small radiating heat dish. That along with a hanging box fan that runs 24/7 keeps my gh no colder than 55ยบ. Ken showed me a thermostat that I hooked to the heater plug so that it comes on when the temp drops below 55. I don't have to watch it. You'll have fun. But building the gh is just a start.
