@DogsNDaylilies , regarding the Panda Plants ... maybe you have one of each?
Panda Plant (Kalanchoe tomentosa)
Panda Plant (Kalanchoe tomentosa 'Chocolate Soldier')

I purchased my Hawaiian Bells plant from Brushwood Nursery in September and it's grown very quickly! It currently has a few buds and blooms and I sure hope it survives the cold night that's predicted for us. It hasn't gotten above 47º here today and the winds have been brutal. We're supposed to drop to 31º tonight with frost ... and wind chills making it feel about 24º!! The plant is currently covered with a heavy blanket to protect it from the cold tonight. We're moving @ 100 miles farther south in May and my plan is to put it in the ground in early summer! Hawaiian Bells (Stictocardia beraviensis) blooms sporadically year-round with stronger flushes at different times of the year.
