OK - thanks guys. I tried them and got no joy. Especially for the price. Rather absurd. They are just like rock wool cubes, but different material. I have also tried all the expansion pellets (3 different brands) and don't like them either.

I would guess that I have tried pretty much everything that is available.

In the end, I always come back to plain old seed starting media in plain old plastic cell trays - either 72 or 36. Regarding the trays, I have tried those that have > 72 cells; e.g. 244, 288 etc. I failed. I think to use those effectively, one must have a misting system.

It works for me. Now if something else works for others - fine. nodding
