I wish my daughter would get into gardening, if even just a little. But she's going to be 13 in a couple weeks, so she's at the age where she rolls her eyes at everything. The most interest I get out of her is:
"Why do they pronounce it HOSS-tuh? It should be HOST-uh."
She also likes making me say, "Hosta tokudama flavocircinalis."
(And I'm not ever sure I pronounce that right!)
