Kim says it is the humic acid from the breakdown of all of the organic material I've been putting on top for years that have caused the rocks to disappear.
Our January thaw is almost over. We'll get a couple of inches of rain Thurs and Fri. Sat and Sun will have no rain, but the night temps will be dropping to low 30s to high 20s. Then it's back to rain and snow.
I did get some weeding done today, but I won't be planting anything for a while.
