I asked at HD about orchids past their prime. Nope, can't sell them to you cheaper, have to go back to the grower, and it sounded like THEY trash them. I said to the guy "you mean you won't SELL me one for a couple of bucks and make something on them.............you'd send them back and get nothing?" Yup, guess that's the way it works........at least at THAT HD. Lowes hasn't had any "death row" orchids for quite some time, at least not when I have been there, but I don't stop there a lot, as it's in a town 50 miles from me.
