Hi, everyone.
It's a cold morning here today, 62 degrees F, 87% relative humidity and a bit of a breeze. I got up at 6AM because I was cold. I started the heat and read in my recliner . I spread a blanket over myself because DANG, I was cold. I read a bit and then I fell asleep. It felt good.
We spent yesterday without cable, TV or internet. The whole development lost cable. Service was reinstated some time around 10PM. We use a VOIP telephone system, so no internet means no phone. Gail used my cell phone to talk to her horrible sisters. When cable service is down, our incoming calls are rerouted to the cell phone.
Dad and I kept busy all day with errands. He had banking business to finalize, we needed groceries, prescriptions needed to be picked up, I wanted to go to Big Lots and there was a stop at the post office. We had lunch at a Chinese buffet and only returned in time for rum and cigars. I sewed all evening. Gail and dad worked on a new jigsaw puzzle. Lucy stayed in her heated cardboard box.
Madame the archduchess Marie-Caca de Taratata wants a 7-Up pound cake. I will bake one when I am done with this post. There was no dessert yesterday at dinner. I lost Brownie points. Good help is hard to find. Better help than little old me is next to impossible to find. But she is welcome to try.
Ah, here comes a bit of sun. Let's hope it warms things up a bit.
Take care, everyone.
Sylvain
