Jennifer, I remember planting a Calathea when I went on vacation last Feb 2014 to visit my old homeland, the Phils. Really love the plant, but it does like very high humidity and some shade there. Here is how I planted the one I got at my mother in law's garden. Really wish I can grow it nicely here
