Our local HD NEVER marks plants down. I have asked. They say they can't. So we drive 30 miles to the next town and give our business to Lowe's. Just seems ridiculous to let plants die and still try to charge the original price. I have bought some really great things marked down at Lowe's. One example was 5 years ago, I got some mums for 25 cents. They bloomed every year after that except this year and that was due to drought conditions. I would say I got my money's worth from those mums.
