Do you find the heufellii need more moisture? I'm new at them too, so I don't know what they'll need. They're not getting any extra moisture, so too bad. They look absolutely fabulous, by the way, so they must not be too thirsty. I don't have any water to spare, that's why I'm growing these kinds of plants Hilarious!

I only just planted all the ones in the wheelbarrow late last summer, at which time they did get a bit of water, then whatever they could get through the very wet fall, and then snow over the winter. We had a wet spring, up until early June, when it dried out again. Typically we have a dry fall, but that has changed a bit in the past few years. The worst is freezing rain, or thaw then freeze again throughout the winter. If it does that, I can expect to lose plants that normally are perfectly hardy.
