Frillylilly, clear pourable epoxy is a good idea. I've used it a tiny bit, but my main trouble was keeping the bubbles out. I understand you can get rid of bubbles by breathing on them, or heating them with a hair dryer. I plan to "pot" some of my mosaics to see how it goes. I'll let you know!
