For best results, keep it tightly potted and water it thoroughly as soon as the surface of the soil feels dry. Fertilize it very sparingly, no more than once per month at half strength. It does best in an east window where it gets a few hours of direct sunlight each day. Avoid too much direct sun exposure, but make sure it is within a few feet of an uncovered window.
