Dave and I both agreed that threads in the forum do not need a file system.
The ATP forum search function is not perfect. Juli explained an easy more accurate way of searching for older threads. You can also use the same browser search to find information within a thread once you find the thread you are looking for.
Another thought is to "watch" a thread you can do this by clicking the "watch" button at the top of a thread.
And even another way is to "star" a post in a thread you may want to refer back to. Your starred posts can be found in your profile. The posts are listed along with the thread they are in on your "starred pages". Once you click the starred post the thread is linked at the top.
