Yes, I use both milk jugs and clear plastic totes. The plastic totes are shoe box size and the next size up. they work great for me. However, the plastic does become brittle from the freezes and I have to be careful to lift them from the bottom. Most only last two seasons but I do have a couple that are on season three. I used a sodering iron to poke holes in the bottoms and tops. Do this in a well ventilated area!!
