I agree with purple regarding the soil, it looks overly wet to me, like it's retaining a lot of water. A chunkier, well draining potting medium would be better in my opinion. Many plant enthusiasts add perlite to their soil to help aid in good drainage. I add orchid bark mix to my soil which creates a fast draining potting medium and offers good air circulation for the roots. I live in an area with high humidity and that method works well for me but sometimes it's just trial and error determining what works for your climate and growing conditions.
