I gave up quickly on twine. It might not last a whole summer. Rolled steel wire is very inexpensive, about $3 for a 15-25 foot roll, depending on strength. I found 15 and 25 pound wire @ hardware store. You can use it to "hang" anything that will hold a plant. When I use the wire to add longer arms to cheap plastic pots, the plastic pots wear out & crack up, but the wire shows no sign of aging yet, after about 3 yrs so far. Fishing line is another option, but much more unreliable & susceptible to degrading in the sun, IME.
