This tree is growing in the backyard of a house DD and family have bought. They were planning to cut the tree down because it looked dead. I hate for them to take it out. The seeds are about 1/2" and black. It is full of tiny white bud on the limbs. The tree is about 10' tall. The previous owners didn't water the backyard for a year. With the rain we've had it has perked up. I know I'll slap my head when someone IDs it. I took pics in full sun, so the tree pic isn't very clear. The trunk has bark like an oak.
