Tom -- if you bought a Brother tape machine, then all you do is remove the backing from the label and apply it to your label holder. I use the label holders from Kincaid Gardens. They have a very flat surface, and the Brother tape labels stick very tightly. I have over 500 of them out there in the beds, and I've never had a tape label become unattached. Some of those labels have been out there since 2009.
