Jennifer I love your Calatheas. I wish I lived in your town. I do not see many in my area. Although I seem to kill them because I do not give them enough humidity in the winter. I can usually keep them alive a couple of years.
About that drainage hole......No drainage hole is the only way I have been able to keep them alive for a couple of years because I do not like to water plants indoors and they really hate you if you do not keep them moist.
