Much of my garden is comprised of rescues, and I love bargain hunting. We have a Lowe's here that almost always has a rack or 2 of marked down plants. I check it out about once a week from early spring through late fall.

Last fall I got a 'Forest Pansy' redbud, an ornamental patio peach, and a kousa dogwood for $15 each Hurray! All 3 had been on my want list for a long time.

Last summer they got in a bunch of 2 varieties of Kordes rose. There were so many I knew they all wouldn't sell and the leftovers would be discounted. Sure enough, got 'em both half price- $10 each.
This one with no photo yet, labeled 'First Crush'
Rose (Rosa 'Constanze Mozart')

And this beauty was labeled 'Summer Romance':
"...and don't think the garden loses its ecstasy in winter. It's quiet, but the roots are down there riotous." Rumi
