Maybe you could eat him? They're a delicacy in France you know. Seriously, though, is this a native species? Because I think I read somewhere that the southern US is facing an invasion of some sort of snail introduced from SE Asia. Might want to google on that... in the meantime, melt some butter and mm mm mmmm.
